Aziz Abdukhakimov receives the head of CrescentRating

    Each direction of tourism is developing dynamically in Uzbekistan, in particular, pilgrimage tourism. This was stated by the Executive Director of the Singaporean organization CrescentRating Fazal Bahardin on 27 July during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov. The CrescentRating annually compiles the international ranking of the World Muslim Travel Index. Uzbekistan to take part in the Russian tourism forum as a partner state

    On 4-7 August 2022, the Travel Forum will be held in Moscow at the industrial site of VDNKh (Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy), where Uzbekistan will take part as a partner state. About 500,000 tourists from abroad visit Uzbekistan in June

  About 493,888 tourists from abroad visited Uzbekistan in June 2022. This is 307,146 people, or almost three times more than in the corresponding period of last year. According to the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a total of 414,763 tourists from neighboring countries visited the country in June. In particular, 178,118 people came from Kazakhstan, 123,290 people from Kyrgyzstan, and 113,216 tourists from Tajikistan. Also, 56,547 tourists from the CIS countries arrived in the country. 53,421 people from Russia and 1,227 tourists from Azerbaijan.  A total of 22,578 foreigners from non-CIS countries visited, where 1504 were from the USA, 1495 from Germany, 1477 from India, 1685 from South Korea and 7308 from Turkey. Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan sign an agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism

    On 14 July, during the state visit of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Uzbekistan, an agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism was signed between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of Turkmenistan.  The document envisages wide coverage in the media of joint international conferences, forums, seminars and exhibitions aimed at promoting the tourism potential of countries and joint tourist routes "The Great Silk Road", "One trip - the whole region."   A delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov took part in the XI session of the Conference of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Baku. As part of the event, the delegation of Uzbekistan took part in bilateral negotiations with the Secretary-General of the OIC and delegations of leaders of a number of foreign countries.   On 3-6 July 2022, the 10th session of the Islamic world of ICESCO was held at the ICESCO headquarters (Kingdom of Morocco, Rabat). At this session, 7 cultural heritage sites located in Bukhara were included in the List of Cultural Heritage of the Islamic World and received certificates. Certificates related to Ismail Samani Mausoleum, Chor Bakr, Bahauddin Naqshband complexes, Magoki Attar Mosque, Poyi Kalon Ensemble, the ruins of the ancient city of Poykent and Tashsaroi Madrasah were presented by ICESCO General Director Salim Al Malik.
