Some 2.41 million foreign citizens visit Uzbekistan

In January-July 2022, 2.41 million foreign citizens entered Uzbekistan for tourism purposes, the State Statistics Committee said.  If we compare this figure with the corresponding period of 2021 (1.12 million people in 2021), we can see that it increased by almost 1.3 million people, or 2.2 times. Citizens are reimbursed part of the cost of domestic travel

  For citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan (local tourists), a procedure for the return of part of the expenses ("Cashback") for domestic travel carried out in the regions of Uzbekistan will be introduced as part of the "Uzbekiston buylab sayohat qil!" Program. Reimbursement of travel expenses is carried out through the electronic platform, including through its mobile application. By integrating the Platform with a special mobile application of the State Tax Committee (SoliqUz), the authenticity of expenses is verified using a mobile application, matrix barcodes (QR codes) of checks are scanned and the permanent place of residence of local tourists is indicated with travel registration. Tourism potential and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan presented in Spain

  For the first time, Uzbekistan takes part in the ancient cultural festival "Moors and Christians", which takes place these days, from 25 to 29 August in the province of Valencia (Spain). As part of the festival, which has been held annually in Spain since the 14th century, colorful and unforgettable processions take place, reflecting the influence of ancient cultures and traditions of different peoples of the world on the development of modern civilization. The initiative of Uzbekistan’s participation in the largest event in Spain belongs to the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It is planned that this event will have a positive impact on the promotion of the tourism potential and cultural and historical heritage of the Uzbek people among the population of the EU countries.
